Polyschool is an educational forum to teach roofing contractors, installers, sales, distributors, consultants, and architects more about what makes Polyglass products unique to the roofing industry. The sessions highlight best practices when installing, estimating, and selling Polyglass commercial and residential roofing products.

Course Offerings


A day-and-a-half “Intro to Polyglass” touching on a wide variety of our products and recommended installation procedures.

 

INTRODUCTION TO POLYGLASS

Audience: Contractors not familiar with Polyglass products, new professionals entering the roofing industry and Sales Team members

Introduction to an array of Polyglass products. Instructors will introduce Self-Adhered Membranes, Torch-Applied materials and Liquid-Applied products.

Course includes classroom presentations, demonstrations of installation best practices as recommended and/or required by the manufacturer, Polyglass and time to ask subject-matter experts questions about your unique experiences.

INTRODUCTION TO POLYGLASS – UNION APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Audience: Apprentices that completed their first year in the apprenticeship program

Apprentices from Union Locals are introduced to Polyglass products and installation techniques in an action-packed 1 1/2 day class. We work closely with the local program training coordinator to ensure the information is tailored for students in their 2nd year (and above) of their apprenticeship program.

 


Our level two courses are geared towards installers keeping focus mainly on hands-on demonstrations with brief introductory presentations.

 

HANDS-ON: SELF-ADHERED UNDERLAYMENTS

Participants will be immersed in the world of Polyglass’ Self-Adhered Steep-slope products. A variety of SA systems will be introduced. Hands-on demonstrations and practice activities will reinforce classroom training.

HANDS-ON: TORCH-APPLIED MEMBRANES

Course will provide an overview of Polyglass Torch-Applied membranes. Hands-on practice activities will reinforce classroom presentations and provide an opportunity to touch and feel the products.

 

Level three courses focus on educating owners, managers, estimators and sales associates of roofing contractors. We highlight product selling points while incorporating estimation demonstrations and sales training.

 

INTERNAL (EMPLOYEE) POLYSCHOOL

Audience: Internal Polyglass employees and Sales Consultants

Internal Polyglass employees and independent consultants are introduced to Polyglass products and organizational departments. Participants have an opportunity to touch and feel our products and talk to individual department representatives.

BUILDING ENVELOPE/WATERPROOFING

Audience: Installers, General Contractors, Architects/Consultants, Sales Members and Distribution Representatives

Course will provide an overview of Polyglass’ innovative Building Envelope Solutions. Students will review the individual waterproofing systems and all system components needed during product installation. Course includes classroom presentations, and hands-on demonstrations of each system facilitated by subject matter experts.

BUILDING ENVELOPE/AIR BARRIERS

Audience: Installers, General Contractors, Architects/Consultants, Sales Members and Distribution Representatives

Course will provide an overview of Polyglass’ innovative Building Envelope Solutions. Students will review the individual air barrier systems and all system components needed during product installation. Course includes classroom presentations, and hands-on demonstrations of each system facilitated by subject matter experts.

PMMA SYSTEM

Audience: Roofing Contractors/Installers, Sales Members and Consultants

Course will provide an overview of Polyglass’ innovative PMMA system. Students will review the individual components needed during product installation and practice applying PMMA liquid-applied products.
