Deerfield Beach, FL – Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope solutions, is proud to announce the addition of seven new products qualified for use in FORTIFIED Roof™ applications.
What Is the FORTIFIED Roof Standard?
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) FORTIFIED Roof™ standard is a national benchmark for storm-ready construction, designed to help buildings better withstand severe weather including high winds, hail, and heavy rain. The program was designed to promote best-in-class construction practices that go above and beyond local code requirements to better protect communities all over the country.
New Products Qualified for FORTIFIED Roof Applications
To achieve the qualification for use in FORTIFIED Roof systems distinction, the products had to pass rigorous testing and rating requirements.
Joining the growing list of Poyglass’ FORTIFIED Roof-compatible underlayments, membranes, adhesives, and primers are:
- Low-Slope Membranes: Elastoflex SA P, Elastobase V
- Adhesive: PG 350
- Self-Adhered Steep-Slope Underlayment: Polystick® PX HT
- Fire Rated Option: Elastoflex SA P FR
Contractors, municipalities, developers, and homeowners now have more ways to achieve FORTIFIED Roof Designations to enhance resilience, longevity, durability, high-wind resistance, and moisture protection in their roofing systems.
