The Polyglass Standard RoofGrip® Drill Point Fastener (#12) is designed to secure insulation to steel (18 Ga.–24 Ga. [1.25–0.65 mm]) and wood. It is available in lengths from 1 5∕8″ to 8″ (40 to 200 mm). The Polyglass Standard RoofGrip Drill Point Fastener is Factory Mutual approved.
Features and Benefits
- Heavier shank and thread diameters than most “standard” roofing fasteners.
- Deep buttress thread for high pullout resistance.
- Extra sharp drill point for quick installation in new or reroof applications.
- Available with #3 Phillips truss head.
The Polyglass Heavy Duty Roofing Fastener (#14) is designed to secure insulation to steel (1.25 to 0.75 mm), wood and structural concrete decks. Heavy Duty Fasteners can also be used to secure membrane to wood and concrete decks. The fastener is available in lengths from 1 ¼” – 24″ (30 to 610 mm), and is Factory Mutual approved.
Features and Benefits
- Heavier shank and thread diameters for maximum strength.
- Deep thread for high pullout resistance.
- Extra sharp spade point for quick installation in new or reroof applications.
- In concrete applications, fastener may be reversed out of predrilled hole without damaging the deck.
The Polyglass Extra Heavy Duty Roofing Fastener (#15) is a specialized, high-performance fastener designed to secure roofing materials to certain light gauge steel (20 Ga. [0.95
mm] and lighter), OSB and plywood roof decks. It is available in lengths from 2″ – 16″ (50 to 405 mm) and is Factory Mutual approved.
Features and Benefits
- Oversized heavy shank and thread diameters for enhanced pullout resistance in light gauge steel roof decks.
- Deep buttress threads further increase pullout and backout resistance.
- Miniature drill point penetrates decks quickly and contributes to exceptional resistance to back-out as well as pullout.
The Polyglass CD-10 is a hammer-in, non-threaded fastener designed to secure insulation to structural concrete. This fastener is available in 2″ – 12″ (50 mm to 305 mm) lengths. The CD-10 is Factory Mutual approved.
Features and Benefits
- Diamond point allows easier installation and less chance of hole damage.
- Split bulb exerts pressure on walls of hole, producing remarkable holding power.
- Strongest hammer-in fastener available.
- Typical pullout values in cured concrete (3000 psi / 20 MPa) are over 800 lbs (363.2 kg).
- A pullout test is recommended.
- The Polyglass CD-10 is FM approved.
Polyglass Steel Plates are made of Galvalume® coated steel. The round design provides an even distribution of loads and eliminates sharp corners that can damage the insulation.
These plates are designed to be used with Polyglass fasteners to secure insulation.
Polyanchor SU is a lightweight, nailable synthetic roof underlayment designed to protect the roof deck. Polyanchor SU is stronger than traditional felts for improved wind resistance, durability through heavy foot traffic and adverse weather conditions.
Polyanchor SU’s non-woven fiber surface top surface and polymeric coated bottom surface provides enhanced walkability.
Polyanchor SU is ideally suited for asphalt shingles, synthetic shingles, and cedar shake roof covering systems. Polyanchor SU is preferably matched with Polystick IR-Xe installed on the eaves and valleys for ice and water protection.
Typical Applications
• Water-resistant barrier on steep slope roofing under asphalt shingles, synthetic shingles,
and cedar shakes roof coverings
• Nailable steep slope underlayment over approved wood decks for temporary
waterproofing protection
• Used in conjunction with Polystick IR-Xe self-adhered shingle underlayment for greater ice
and water protection at eaves and valleys
Features and Benefits
• Improved tear strength and wind uplift resistance compared to felts
• Enhanced deck grip and walkability
• 90-day UV resistance
• Lightweight, 10 square roll provides quick roof coverage
