Polyglass’ SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) modified bitumen membranes use a proprietary formulation consisting of the highest quality asphalt, polymers, and modifiers.
Our mechanically attached SBS membranes are reinforced with polyester and/or fiberglass mats offering superior flexibility, excellent tensile strength, and dimensional stability. The final product provides a highly durable roofing membrane that is capable of sustaining a variety of environmental conditions over time.
These base plies are mechanically fastened directly to the roof deck, creating a stable foundation that enhances the system’s resistance to wind uplift and environmental stressors. Once the base layer is secured, additional SBS layers—whether adhered with cold adhesive, heat-fused, or self-adhered—can be added to complete a robust multi-ply assembly. The result is a resilient, high-performance roof system that resists punctures, weather extremes, and everyday wear—backed by Polyglass quality and support.
